In 2003, Canadian National Railway Co. built a batch of 100 50’ Plate F boxcars at its own Transcona Shops in Winnipeg, MB. These boxcars are assigned to paper service and feature a 10’ wide single plug door. An additional series of 100 cars were built by Transcona Shops in 2004, in close resemblance to the 2003 version. The majority these unique boxcars still travel the rails today on manifest trains across Canada and the USA.
